If you’re reading this, I’m just going to assume you know your way around the great subject of weed. You probably smoked a lot of weed in your day, and wished you knew then, what you know now.

Nonetheless, you may want to pass this on to someone who has just been exposed to the wide world of cannabis. Here’s 9 things I wish I knew when I started smoking weed.

1. Taming Munchies

A mint can short circuit the munchies. It can also make you salivate and combat that terrible  cottonmouth.

Girl…No. Weed makes the worst combinations taste like heaven, but it’s best applied when you eat good food that you won’t regret eating later.

2. Ambiance is Everything

Find good online playlists and movies specific to stoners. They will optimize your high when relaxing and help you focus when working.

3. Wax is the Gift that Keeps Giving

Storing wax and shatter for short periods of time in rolling papers is not only convenient but will give you a flavorful THC tinged paper for a later joint that you feel like smoking. This is only recommended for short periods of time and definitely not for transport.

4. Hygiene is an Event

Brushing your teeth while high will ensure you’re scrubbing ‘em for the recommended 2 minutes. You’ll be super concentrated on what you’re doing and be super satisfied when you’re done.

I wouldn’t recommend smoking before showering if you have a long process (girls) because it can feel like the seasons legit changed until you’re completely groomed.

5. Art Degrees Pay Off?

Pipe cleaners ARE good pipe cleaners. Pair that with some rubbing alcohol and sea salt and you’re set. Boiling a bowl  is so much work and will make your entire apartment smell. Trust me.

6. Wake and Bake with Coffee

Coffee can add some additional ..pep to your high.

7. Weed’s an Amuse-Bouche

Schedule your smoke around meal times. It will really enhance dinners and cut down on gluttonous snacking habits. Or plan on smoke sessions around the time you’ll be having sex. You won’t snack and you’ll get some exercise.

8. Stay Hydrated

Always have a bottle of water with you to sip on. Nothing’s worse than the inevitable cottonmouth, it’s distracting and can disrupt your high.

Always have backup eye drops! They will come in handy – especially if you forgot your sunglasses at home.
