While my friends drop their beer intake, quit smoking cigarettes, cut out sexting and sign up for a gym membership, I’m all about becoming a better weed smoker. Just when I thought I had it all figured out…hell, there’s always room for improvement. Here are 11 ways I think we all can become better weed smokers for ourselves and others in 2015.

1. Store Your Weed Properly

Don’t waste your weed because it dried out within a week or two. Store your weed properly, or save it by placing a damp paper towel right under the lid of an air tight container. Get more out of your weed. (orange slices also work, but can effect the taste of your weed.)

2. Share Your Weed

Weed’s meant to be shared, even if it’s just with your significant other. The holiday months are all about giving, but a true cannabis lifestyle is about sharing 365 days a year. Share the experience with those around you!

3. Clean Your Pieces

Lexichronic
It’s a shame when someone passes you a gorgeous glass blown bong filled with resin, because there’s nothing more rude than declining. Please don’t make me compromise my etiquette. Would you pour your friend’s drink into a glass filled with remnants of someone else’s cocktail? Clean your pieces based on how often you use them – once a month is a good rule of thumb.

4. Invest in a Vape

Lexichronic
Vaping is a healthier way to get space high, because you’re ruling out tobacco, papers and butane. It can only go hand in hand with your other New Years resolutions, except you’ll actually enjoy this one. Treat yo self to a brand new vape .

5. Donate Money or Time

Some of us don’t have loads of cash to throw at a pro-marijuana event. Donate your time by attending rallies, signing petitions, starting discussions on forums, sharing pro-cannabis articles on social networks, or helping with local event organizing.

6. Learn to Decarb Your Weed

Decarboxylating or decarbing your weed to make edibles will enhance your high. Learn how to decarb your cannabis in 2015 with this easy how-to.

7. Perfect Your Conversation Skills with Authority

Weed laws change so frequently and if you’re traveling between states, you need to know your rights. It’s more important than ever to know what laws apply when you travel, and there are plenty of resources within our grasp that can help. Keep your vehicle clean! Pro Tip: If you get pulled over by the police, shut the hell up and give as little information as possible.

8. Make a Difference

Lexichronic

Change the perspective of anti-pot supporters by sharing insight on marijuana’s medical benefits. Share some of these facts, (along with necessary empathy, intelligence and wit) and marijuana could gain an even larger fellowship than it has seen in recent years.

9. Try a New Strain

Take a chance and try a new strain. If you usually smoke an Indica, tune into your creative side and smoke up on a Sativa. Get a new perspective, even if it’s just for one night.

10. Expand Your Vocabulary

Lexichronic
There are plenty of ways to compliment someone’s weed, strains to track down and try, laws to be aware of, and important people to recognize in the wide world of cannabis. Become a connoisseur and learn a new fact every day from our trusty Lexicon.

11. Try a New Way to Spark Up

Lexichronic
I have met way too many women (and men) who bring weed to a party and do not know how to roll a joint or blunt. If you’re a regular smoker, or you just buy weed here and there, rolling is a necessary and empowering skill. It’s super easy once you get it down. If you already know how to roll, try a new and challenging roll like Canna Thai Sticks that may make your sesh even better.

2015 should be all about bettering the weed universe for smokers and non-smokers alike. Let’s turn over a new leaf: light one up and make this year smoked out and productive.
