Often referred to as the Willy Wonka of Weed, the Managing Director of Dixie Elixirs & Edibles LLC, Tripp Keber, and his highly-trained team of scientists, chefs and mechanical engineers are mass producing thc-infused edibles. Tripp Keber, a multimillion dollar investor, started out in the trenches of DC politics and in 2010, found himself taking a risk on a plant that he saw great potential in. Now, Keber is not a daily smoker, but appreciates its great attributes to medicinal research.

He came to find that the marijuana business was different from his other ventures into technology, real estate and luxury motorcoach resorts — or as Keber describes them, ‘trailer parks on steroids.’ Marijuana, he realized, has the potential to make people well.

In the spring of 2013, Keber was arrested for possession of marijuana at an event in Alabama, putting him on two years of probation. So long as he is on good behavior and passes all random drug tests during the two years, he can indulge in the amazing products his ‘factory’ pushes out every day. Until then, his role as Director of Dixie in Denver, Colorado, remains unscathed and with the recent legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado, the brand is more popular than ever. National Geographic takes viewers inside the production facility which resembles somewhat of a scientific laboratory/pastry kitchen.

Keber attests that edibles and the MIP industry altogether will grow quickly enough to account for half of all cannabis sales. In 2010 edibles only accounted for 10 percent.

The ‘crown jewel’ of his investment portfolio, I’m sure we can all agree that Dixie Elixirs will profit while he directs or until someone knocks on his door requested whom to make the check payable to.
