Detroit city council opted to enact a temporary ban on recreational cannabis sales last November. Critics of the ban noted the city is also missing out on much-needed tax revenue from adult-use cannabis sales. It’s not enough for Detroit residents to simply hold security jobs or floor sweeping in this industry within our city. Motor City residents won’t have the option of buying cannabis locally before the end of March, at the earliest.
