State Question 778 was originally filed with the Secretary of State on April 11, 2016. The petition seeks to legalize, tax and regulate both medicinal and recreational cannabis in the Sooner State. ❓SHOULD RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA BE LEGAL IN OKLAHOMA? Legalized Recreational Marijuana is one step closer to possibly being on the November ballot. While the passage of State Question (SQ) 796 would legalize the use of medical marijuana, voter approval of State Question 797 would legalize recreational adult use for those 21 or older to consume or possess limited amounts of marijuana.
