California Roots x Weedmaps (2016)

The 7th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival took place in Monterey, California from May 27 - May 29. CaliRoots has quickly turned into the go-to destination where both music artists and attendees go to celebrate the Reggae movement. What originally started as a backyard party for the California Roots clothing line has flourished into a premier reggae festival in the U.S. Growing alongside the Reggae movement since 2010, CaliRoots 2016 saw performances from returning bands of the very first edition which included: Seedless, Tribal Seeds and Thrive. This year's lineup also featured other returning bands from previous years such as Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Fortunate Youth, and much more. What sets California Roots apart from other music festivals (besides the bands) is the good vibes that attendees radiate. An event put on for all ages, an element of family and togetherness is cultivated.
