The ideal candidate will at least five (5) years of experience representing cannabis-industry operators before regulatory boards, though general corporate governance, M&A, or transactions lawyers with at least some exposure to regulatory cannabis law are encouraged to apply. Portable business preferred (non-equity partnership is a possibility for candidates who can bring in the range of $200k in portable business). The hired lawyer can be housed in any of several offices surrounding the Washington, D.C. market; remote work is also a possibility depending on proximity to this region. JD degree required, as is Maryland bar membership or ability to waive in since appearing before MD regulatory authorities will be a core responsibility.
