Colorado: Lawsuit Alleges Machine Seller Misled Hemp Co.

Thursday, plaintiff Eagle Moon Hemp LLC filed suit against the defendant Isolate Extraction Systems, Inc in the District of Colorado. The plaintiff claims that they had purchased the first machine for $1,450,000 and the second machine for $340,000. Some of the claims raised by the plaintiff included statements that the extraction machine “could reliably process one thousand pounds of hemp per day”, as well as already having sold a similar machine to another customer that has been successfully been working in Oklahoma. The defendant is facing four counts: rescission of misrepresentation, damages for misrepresentation, violations of the state’s consumer protection act, and restitution unjust enrichment. Once the plaintiff had noted the failure of the machines to produce as the defendant had claimed, they had tried to return the machines, but the defendant had refused.
