Last winter in Michigan, police reported that thieves cut through the roof of the building and stole an estimated $127,000 in merchandise from a cannabis dispensary. According to CBSLA, the two thieves used crowbars to break into the dispensary sometime before 4:20 a.m. on Feb. 7. Deputies arriving on the scene surrounded the business while suspects remained inside what looks from the CBSLA coverage as a one-storey structure. Breaking into a business through the roof is also a contender for thievery tactics, but oddly enough, not unique. Although the dispensary in question was reported to be illegal, both medicinal and recreational cannabis are legal in California.
High-minded, wannabe thieves set on robbing an illegal cannabis dispensary inside a South Whittier, Calif. strip mall succeeded in entering the business through its roof, but failed to get away after someone saw them and called police.
According to CBSLA, the two thieves used crowbars to break into the dispensary sometime before 4:20 a.m. on Feb. 7. But after an unidentified individual saw the break-in on surveillance video, the person called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
