The relationship with High Times dates back to 1977 when The Freak Brothers appeared on the cover of the February issue. Nearly 55 years into its existence, the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, a fictional trio of stoner characters, is collaborating with longtime partner High Times on a line of limited-edition merchandise. First appearing in the underground newspaper The Rag in 1968, The Freak Brothers were brought back to life in 2021 through an animated adaptation on Tubi, a U.S.-based streaming service. Tiffany Haddish provides the voice for Kitty, the trio’s cat, while other celebrities, such as Blake Anderson, Adam Devine and ScHoolboy Q have also provided voice work. The trio, whose adventures mainly focus on obtaining and enjoying recreational drugs, has developed a worldwide cult following.
