NORML Report on U.S. Domestic Marijuana Production is a statistical report released by norml-foundation in 1998 with comprehensive analysis of the American marijuana-production economy and estimated the value and number of cannabis plants grown in United States in 1997. The study argued that “Marijuana remains the fourth largest cash crop in America despite law enforcement spending an estimated $10 billion annually to pursue efforts to outlaw the plant.”
