Purple Haze is a subset of cannabis-sativa grown by Dutch seed-breeders. The subtype is known to have a purple color, white trichomes and high potency. There is debate over whether the strain actually exists, as any strain of cannabis can develop purple calyxes if they are grown in sub-optimal temperatures. Contrary to popular belief, the Jimi Hendrix song “Purple Haze” is not about this subtype, but a purported dream that he had.
