Retail cannabis sales in Canada dip slightly to $336 million

Year over year, there was a 28.5 per cent increase in total cannabis sales nationwide. The most precipitous drop occurred in Newfoundland and Labrador, where sales fell by nearly 16 per cent month over month, to $4.7 million in February. According to the latest figures from Statistics Canada, nearly every province, other than Ontario and Saskatchewan, saw a modest reduction in sales. At the time, Canada’s most populous province was on its way to opening 1,000 cannabis stores.
