Summary

On May 8, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) released the newest iteration of their proposed rule for consumable hemp products. Texas’ Proposed Rule Title 25 is another example of states acting in a manner that diverges from current federal regulation. Proposed Rule Title 25 was drafted to comply with House Bill (H.B.) 1325, which created the DSHS Hemp Program. The proposed rule is available for public comment until June 8, 2020.
