A report of toddlers at a Virginia daycare potentially being exposed to cannabis has ended with three felony counts being laid against the business owner. There have been other incidents in which people have been arrested after exposing toddlers or very young children to cannabis. An investigation by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) in early March revealed that three one-year-old children in the woman’s care tested positive for THC, a psychoactive compound found in cannabis. Upon visiting the emergency department of a local hospital on Mar. 2, two officers learned that several children from the same daycare had been exposed. It was confirmed the crackers were positive for THC, Kimmitz reports.
