The Royal Society, formally known as The President, Council and Fellows of the Royal Society of London for Improving Natural Knowledge, is a learned society and the United Kingdom’s national Academy of Sciences. Founded on the 28th of November 1660, it was granted a royal charter by King Charles II as “The Royal Society”. Hooke gave a lecture at the Royal Society on mirror scrying, that mentioned Dee, Trithemius and others. This was an interest that other members of the Royal Society apparently shared.
