Musk was reportedly sued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over his infamous “Tesla 420” tweet in 2018. That tweet reportedly led to Tesla shares climbing 11 per cent and was tantamount to fraud, according to the lawsuit. The suit was prompted after Musk tweeted that he was “considering taking Tesla private at $420,” and added that the funding had already been secured. As for the Twitter takeover, Musk recently sold $7 billion worth of Tesla shares in case he loses his attempt to walk away from the deal, reports The Guardian. Twitter has filed a lawsuit against Musk for abandoning the deal while Musk has filed a countersuit claiming the company has not provided enough information about spam accounts and the number of actual users on the platform.
