South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are no strangers to using cannabis as fodder for humour in the long-running series, but they got a bit more serious during last week’s episode when they took on the issue of equity. The fictional Tegridy Farms has made a number of appearances on South Park, which just recently kicked off its 25th season, but the Parker-Stone duo apparently thought it was time to give the farm an update. According to Westword, the episode that aired Feb. 9 shows Tegridy Farms owner Randy Marsh, who is white, realizing a little late in the game that there’s imbalance and inequity in the industry. According to Marijuana Moment, the state racked up a record US$423 million in tax revenue from cannabis sales in 2021.
