An innocuous cannabis-related reference during a recent episode of Jeopardy! was apparently offensive enough to some that it sparked a flood of ire against host Mayim Bialik and show writers. People reported this month, though, that Jennings was taking a hiatus from the quiz show, leaving Bialik as host for the time being. The recent shade thrown on Bialik appears to be a continuation of her less-than-hearty support from fans as host of the long-running game show. The “dad joke” was arguably not even as spicey as the one delivered by beloved, longtime host Alex Trebek a decade earlier. Bialik asks her mother, Bev, about some names for cannabis, how the drug can be consumed, different types of weed paraphernalia and medical uses for the plant.
