It appears that a Massachusetts man accused of using a BB gun to rob a legal cannabis dispensary has become the first person to hit a weed store since legalization took effect in the state. CNA Stores CEO Rob DiFazio credited the police getting to the dispensary within minutes and store security measures with ensuring no employees were injured, according to the Boston Globe. It is alleged Hernandez, a resident of Haverhill, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cannabis before police caught up with him. The weapons used have varied widely, from firearms to a machete, bear spray and even vehicles on several occasions. Although the store closed after the incident, it was scheduled to reopen today.

Tony Hernandez, 51, was arrested and charged with armed robbery “for his alleged involvement in the incident,” notes a tweet from the Haverhill Police Department.
It is alleged Hernandez, a resident of Haverhill, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cannabis before police caught up with him. There were no injuries reported.
