Asked about the current pandemic situation, HiBnb notes that “Delta isn’t making a big difference as we are ramping up. Working with hosts across the county to develop cannabis-inclusive events, HiBnb currently boasts about 140 hosts between accommodations and adventures, the company reports. With regard to accommodations, “the host will always have some designated spot, either indoors or outdoors, where their guest can enjoy cannabis,” it adds. HiBnb allows people to become cannabis-friendly hosts, offering visitors a place to “enjoy cannabis in a judgement-free zone while travelling,” the statement notes. With little to no means of public consumption or social engagement around consumption, HiBnb was created to answer that need.
Cannabis consumers who want to enjoy a bit of bud during their travels have not always been welcomed.
HiBnb — an online booking marketplace for cannabis-focused, Canadian-based accommodations, excursions and activities — wants to change that by guiding weed enthusiasts to places and events that allow them to relax, kick the stigma to the curb and consume to their heart’s content.
In Canada, as is the case elsewhere in the world, there is a lack of hospitality options that welcome cannabis users in hotels or the secondary rental market, HiBnb founder Elizabeth Becker notes in an email to The GrowthOp.
